THE DAVE KELLY BAND/CHRISTINE
COLLISTER:
Arguably two of
Britain's best voices .... touring together for the first time.
Christine's rich velvet vocals - Dave's achingly soulful blues voice ....
performing a set of soul, r&b, country, folk ... and much more. The voices
are but the icing to a great night of music performed by their dextrous,
solid...yet subtle band featuring Gary Fletcher, Pick Withers, Peter
Filleul and Peter Emery.
GARY FLETCHER:
Gary
Fletcher is well known for his role as bass player in The Blues
Band. He has in recent years branched out into additional
solo/duo/GF Band work, receiving critical acclaim for both his live shows
and solo albums.
EDDIE MARTIN:
Twice nominated UK Blues Guitarist of
the Year, a world-class harmonica player and songwriter, his band and
solo performances and 8 album releases have forged Martin’s reputation as
a leading force in British Blues today.
STEVE PHILLIPS & BRENDAN CROKER:
Brendan & Steve create a warm and very special evening of wonderful guitar
playing and fabulous voices, plus humour-filled anecdotes from their
illustrious lives. Mark Knopfler's fellow Notting Hillbillies know
how to reach their audience with their eclectic roots repertoire.
NEIL
INNES TRIO: Neil's new tour Ego Warriors is a
show which both celebrates individuality and thumbs a satirical nose at Mass
Media. It's also hilariously funny with great music. Neil, J J Jones (on
drums) and Tom Fry (double bass) feature many old favourites and also
songs from Neil's new and highly acclaimed new CD Works In Progress.
MAGGIE BELL:
Scotland's
Queen of Soul, founder member of Stone the Crows, later had an incredibly
successful solo career on both sides of the Atlantic, now once again back
on the music scene after a 20 year lay off.
MAGGIE BELL, DAVE KELLY &
THE BBQ
(Colin Allen, Zoot
Money, Colin Hodgkinson & Miller Anderson) :
In 2007
Scottish rock and soul diva Maggie Bell joined forces with The Blues
Band’s slide guitar wizard Dave Kelly for some acoustic duo shows. They’ve
had great success on these tours, even more fun &
are now putting it all together in a band
format with The British Blues Quartet,
